So soe apparently is folding and assets are going to some Smedley company, does that mean anything for us? Possibly put on steam?

Putting the game on steam is wishful thinking. The code would have to be completely rewritten from scratch and most assets changed. The only reason Infantry is flying under the radar now is because it currently doesn't generate any revenue for anyone. Although it would be free on Steam, SOE/Daybreak would see it as someone trying to monetize it and you would get a DMCA/Cease and Desist before it even got through the greenlight process. Speaking of, the greenlight process isn't as simple as some of you think it is to get a game on steam. It requires tens of thousands of positive votes, and even then it isn't a guaranteed thing. I've seen plenty of people try to bring back older games they don't actually have the copyrights to on Steam, in the end it just ends up being a waste of time and money ($100 fee to submit a game) for everyone involved. I think its a bad idea. Not trying to be a downer, just being realistic.

Well subspace continuum got greenlighted last tuesday and are changing their coding now to work on steam. After hearing the talk through steam, because we dont own the coding to the client they will not approve it BUT if I cant get the source (which im sure I wont now seeing how everquest is coming back), a new client will needed to be written. That project before turned into a new game. Now with the assist of someone else, we could just write a new client if needed.
