In regards of Jordan and Apollo helping is something really appreciated considering that we are unable to show enough and some of the players have problems with their computer and can't use mumble. So Foot Clan will show next sunday.

Gray areas in rules regarding one player and really pointing more towards the biases involved with that player, as stated in the last post of the thread you're referencing. ...you know, just for clarity.

Armor, make the thread public. I have nothing to hide. You yourself said it is up to the referee to determine who and who is not lagging, regardless of rules. So Z can play one week and if another ref considers his lag ( which is terrible consistent frame lag that hsnt allowed him to play the last 5 seasons than sure) okay then he can play. You wonder why no one wants to be apart of staff due to the inconsistency you guys allow. Lol, and you continuously wonder why this game is dying. Hey, its okay break a rule this week that will be deemed a gray area next week.

The way these appeals are brought about saddens me. Fausto is the shining light in this entire thread. We've had 6 games this season and 3 had complaints leading in, complaints after, or formal appeals.

I understand the concern around lag, but I also acknowledge everyone will not have perfect ploss and lag. They never have. There are some more public versions of laggy players (me at one point, Z today) and less publicized versions as mentioned in this thread.

The referee, at their discretion, determined the player wasn't lagging enough to spec out. That's the end of the appeal. The match should stand and all squads are tied up at 1-1 with exception of FC and BB, so it's certainly not the end of the world.

Addressing the issue regarding Z, you are right to an extent. All lag should be enforced. When looking at a player like him, you tend to have a bias to expect that he's going to lag at some point and he is scrutinized more heavily by refs and opposing players and captains. As such, referees need to make sure that biases aren't playing a role and that the lag is legitimately disrupting before removing him (or others that lag similarly) from the match.

You could, of course, banish him from the league. But he's a good guy and we're all doing this for fun. If money was on the line, the rules would likely be tighter and he wouldn't be allowed to play. That was my argument when I helped stand up for his play time early on in my "return".

What I hate most about this is the constant bashing of referees by captains and players. You of all people know that it's a tough job, thankless job, and there aren't enough of them. You defended that last week when the easoe issue came up and it's still true today.

tl;dr:
-Fausto is a super positive guy. Classy.
-No appeal required.
-Referee bashing is one of the worst things we can do in this league.
-Who is replacing Pandy's reffing? Or are we going to start one of those pride chain reactions that ends the season at week 2?

Armors final ruling, saying its okay to not enforce lag on a player that is known to have consistent frame lag, yet it is still up to the ref. Lets "lighten" the rules as Armor said just because this game is for fun. You wonder why I wont ref anymore, stop bending the rules just because this game is for "fun".
