Squads still look the same, even with salary. This could have maybe been better with a tiered system rather than a salary cap, e.g., best players in tier 1, and squads can only have 2 players (excluding captains) from tier 1. Then it goes on, 2 players from tier 2, 3 from tiers 3 and 4, etc etc.

If you read some of the endless pages of crying you'd know that tiered system wouldn't work. People want to play with their "friends". Can't have enough 225 friends. There are probably 3 better solutions we could have tried but people would complain.

So the salary cap somehow ended up with less parity than the old system. Maybe if you guys raised every squads salary another 1000 points that will make more people join shit squads since that seems to be the go to rationale of how to increase parity. Which sit back and digest that, lets just say for a second that this is like a real sports league with a salary cap or something to that effect since i'm sure that was the reasoning behind this.


So to increase competitiveness you are going to give the best teams more money to spend? How well does that work in the NBA with the new salary cap? Lots of people flocking to OKC to play ball? Fuck no nobody wants to go to OKC and they are trying to pay people, so how the fuck is that supposed to work in Infantry? You should probably all listen to drift least his idea makes sense.

Tier system excludes a lot of players, particularly the top rated. Draft pushes a lot of people away or causes them to not show during the week/on Sundays.

Salary cap wasn't increased to promote competition. It was increased to include more active players in the league because people were going to be excluded. The system isn't perfect, and there's a better way of doing it, but this will be a learning experience to perfect next season. Really, who the captains are determines how well the system works, for all salary/tier/draft. So if you wanna offer help Drift, start a squad. We're short of captains that players can put their trust in to lead them well.

Really it's about the captains wanting a good league and not abusing the salary cap, which unfortunately we also do not have a lot of.

I wouldn't have had a problem with captaining a squad, but let's be honest I wouldn't exactly be on every day due to timezone differences and who would want to be on a squad where their captain shows up max 3 times a week, once of which being drunk after a pub crawl

10 players per team max or just dont do a season since is pointless.

I'm more than happy to throw an 8th squad together given that there's enough players left and if its wanted/needed for the league. Looking at available salary points and the free agents list though, it would seem a couple of the higher cost lads are waiting to shift into last places in already existing ones.

We don't even have a 7th squad.
