For everyone having a login problem, just go to your infantry online folder in program files, edit default.ini and settings.ini then anything that says freeinfantry.org, just change it to .com. See example below:

Assets=http://freeinfantry.org/assets/ZZ/

Assets=http://freeinfantry.com/assets/ZZ/

Where in Infantry file is this located?

I am not a computer expert but I figured it out after 10 mins.
I had a file called config.xml I opened it as a text document. I changed it to .com like you said but I couldn't save the file right away because it didn't let me. I saved it to my documents. Deleted the one in my infantry folder and then copied the file from my documents to infantry. boy oh boy. it worked though. I am on Vista btw

config.xml? Can you take a screenshot of your client cuz I dont know what version that is.

if your having issues with the access denied you have to give yourself full permissions to each file that you want to change. Right click the file go to Security and then click on your user and click all the boxes for permissions. then click apply then make the changes in the ini files.

You can also open up notepad as Administrator (right-click on it and click Open As Administrator) and then within notepad find and open the file. By default the location is:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Infantry Online\default.ini
C:\Program Files (x86)\Infantry Online\settings.ini

with the old launcher I get a message that says " For security reasons DTD is prohibited in this XML document. To enable DTD processing set the DtdProcessing property on XmlReaderSettings to Parse and pass the settings into XmlReader.Create method.

Then I just click ok (Not sure if I should proceed) and I can log in

Uni's way worked on the settings and default inis. That the most simplest way but it only works if your administrator. For me changing the permission allowed in the properties didn't work. I'm on windows 7

Does this make me a programmer?

If it says access denied, save those 2 new files on your desktop and just move those 2 files out of infantry online folder to recycle bin and move those 2 new files to infantry online folder.
