I've been messing with a layout with brighter colors for a while now and just recently picked it back up and decided to get some feedback from the community. Here are some examples of a few pages:

The biggest change is the navigation bar. I added some drop down menus if you hover over the links at the top to condense things and make it more organized. It would still need some more work to implement the forums. It's not something I would be able to implement right away but I figured I'd see what people thought. This current color scheme is pretty depressing.

The new layout looks nice, but I prefer the dark theme of the current website. It should probably also have a lore link at the top so people can get immersed in the infantry universe http://freeinfantry.com/history1/infantry/

It was a sunday in a beautiful sunday night. The sun just set, the temperature was still around +15 celsius, the moon... the moon was shinning down on the streets of Kliest's Ridge. In the distance, was a lone soldier trotting down the road looking for some action. That soldier was a short and lumpy figure, his gut was showing just below his standard issue marine armor. As he got closer you could see the ketchup stains on his shirt, you could tell they were fresh from the way they were a bright gooey red. As the soldier took a turn to the west, on to Hill 102, you could make out the back of his uniform.. it read, "3K-WEREWOLF".

3K just finished up his tough squad match against Rejects. They lost by 3 kills. 3K ranked but he felt lost inside, he felt misguided. 3K had to face his favorite player in all of infantry.. Vince Carter. Vince Carter showed no mercy during the match and killed anything he could in sight. On the flip side, 3K felt hurt by this because VC wasn't just his favorite player, he was a long time crush. 3K only marked VC during the match, he refused to shoot his crush, 3K wasn't able to even shoot at VC, how could he potentially hurt/kill his friend? This was a dilemma 3K couldn't handle. How could he lose the love of his life for even 10 seconds.

As 3K is trotting up Hill 102, you could see his head down, feeling uneasy after the match... decided to stop and reach into his pocket... for what though? is it a picture of VC? is it a screenshot of a lovely msg VC sent him? No.... it was a flask of Sour Puss, the lime green one. As 3K opens up the flask and slowly starts gulping the hard liquor known as Sour Puss, he hears a whistling.... He looks around, but doesnt see anyone below or around him. He tucks his flask into his uniform and draws his guy ready to fire. As he continues up the hill, he's constantly checking his map and his LOS as he's slowly climbing up to the top. He sees a red marker... but not a regular red marker, he sees a big red marker. His eyes light up, his heart starts pumping, he thinks to himself, the only person i marked today is...... VINCE CARTER.

He gets to the top of the 102 and sees Vince with his feet over the edge and a few sand bags around him, while a make shift couch. 3K's heart is pounding at 1337 beats per second... He's soo excited to see his crush. He quietly clears his throat and in his most feminine voice spouts out, "Hey brother, how are you?". VC is unphased, he doesnt even turn his head. 3K's knees are weak and his palms are sweaty. VC, in typical VC fashion says, "I KNO HOW U FEEL BOUT ME". 3k's heart stops beating, he is feeling lost, he is feeling confused, he doesn't know what to say, he doesnt know how to feel. VC continues, "COME HAVE A SEAT IN MY SAND BAG COUCH".

3k's heart starts to pounding again, he's excited. Not just mentally, but he is excited sexually. This moment has been running through 3K's head since he started out as a Trooper in No Mans Land. That was his first ever encounter with Vince Carter the Storm Lord. He's been running through this moment and all the possible outcomes that may come to be.

VC still hasn't looked 3K in the eyes, he's still looking out in the distance and humming Adele's When we were young. VC lifts his arm up and brush the long luscious brown hair out of his face. He's ready for the magic thats about to happen. You wouldn't know it but VC also has feeling for 3K. 3K is looking at VC, he likes how form fitting VC's uniform pants are, as he moves up from the knees, he noticed a bulge, not just a minor bulge from VC being a lazy cunt and not ironing his uniform but a bulge right in the groin area that extends half way down his thigh. As VC finishes brushing his hair out of his face, he turns and faces 3K. 3K just gets his eyes up from VC's bulge and they lock eyes. You could feel the tension between them, you can smell the must coming from their groin areas, you could cut the gay tension w/ a dry sponge. VC reachs over and grabs 3K by the shirt, he gently pulls him closer without looking away from his bright brown eyes. He says, "ARE YOU READY?'

Holy fuck that was a life changing experience Ernie.

How hard is it to make it so we can customize like the old site?

Yeah an option to keep this layout color would be nice if it isn't too much work, my basement dweller eyes can't handle the bright one.

Sbl site was cool since you could pick all the colors you want

The custom theme thing is a pretty heavy code investment. But it's something I could look into.
