Hello All,
After reviewing the thread(s) in both general forum/ in captains chats, reviewing usl mails I have been receiving, and watching the entire match in its entirety (Thank you Infinite for continuously providing us content) I have made a decision. This decision will not please everyone nor will it please the majority; but if anyone knows me.. I hold integrity to the highest standard- this includes both people and matches we play.
In reviewing the video, it is apparent that the entire match was close. To Prove this point- I saw the whole match in its entirety and took personal notes: Here is the kill breakdown to showcase the level of competition involved:
- Infamous was up 3-0 up until 23:30 when the 4th kill was done.
- Score is tied 11-11 at 18:18
- Sonichu is up 12-11 with 17:06 remaining
- Infamous is up 17-16 with 15:40 remaining
- Both teams are tied at 17-17 with 14:00 remaining
- Infamous takes the lead at 8:52 with a battle to continue from 24-17 to then 26-19 with 5:36.
- From here the game ends at 32-25 with Infamous victorious
Now, anyone that has played this game knows the first battle is the most crucial as it will dictate the entire match and its tempo. The matches Integrity was in question with Champion being specced by an outside party amidst a battle preventing a fair battle between both squads. As soon as Champ was specced and the score went 0-3 in favor of infamous, the match was tarnished. We as a community and playerbase are given the right to a fair match irregardless of the difference we may have for each other. We should not be subjected to outside eliminates that are out of our control that result in a disadvantage.
I understand where some of the public & Sonichu players are coming from - as to why the match was not restarted, but without proof - we have allegations and with allegations there is no concrete evidence of foul play. I respect that fact that the match was played to its entirety and the drama was minimized so the public could watch the 2 best squads play a great game. The Appeal was presented at the correct time, after the match. Once proof was provided.
Now that proof has been showcased & the responsible party (Mizz) has admitted to his actions - I will be granting a Rematch to be played this Sunday. It is up to the captains to agree to a time slot. If a time slot cannot be reached by Wednesday at 10:00 pm eastern, I will force schedule it for a time I see fit. The stipulations will stay the same as - whoever was home will stay as home and standard rules apply.
I appreciate players from both squads (players, co-capts and captains alike) giving their input throughout the last 24 hours. Moreover, I would like to say that no one has influenced my decision(s) and this is solely my directive to make - As I am the only Head Staff member not part of either party (sonichu/infamous).
I want to apologize to both squads as both are affected by the actions of outside person(s). Regardless of this next outcome, I am excited to see the talent both squads showed us yesterday as they are undoubtably the 2 best squads this season (my opinion). I also want to apologize to the community for the ongoing drama and turmoil this has produced. We play this game to have fun and actions/results such as these are hard to swallow. Feel free to flame me. I accept it and wish no ill will toward anyone who decides to state their opinion.
