Breakdown

In the days of USL long gone the squads not making playoffs would compete in a BOTR tournament. This season it just so happens that the two squads out of playoffs are going to be playing in the final week of the regular season. So to them, this is their BOTR.
Both squads come in with identical 1-8 records. BFB got their lone win this season over MS in week 5. That said, BFB jumped out to a sizable early lead only to have MS give them a bit of a late run to make it more of a game.
Lets start with Mara Salvatrucha. Backs and company aren't really that bad. Unfortunately they just aren't that good either. I think the real issue lies somewhere in between however. They really just aren't consistent. One night they are on fire. The next they look lost. Those consistency issues rear their heads in matches too as I've yet to see them play a "complete" match, focused and executing. That cost them the week 5 matchup vs. BFB.
Looking in to their lineup they are probably stronger at medic than BFB, while over matched at Marine. For MS to win they will need their Marines to step up and take charge of the match. If they don't Metal will have an insane amount of healing, die a lot and MS will lose. Backs needs to step his game up as this is the match he should be really taking it to the other team.
Best Lineup:
Hedchot - Marine
Reignh - Marine
Lyric - Marine
Joe - Marine
Tbxz - Marine
Duer - Marine
Metal - Medic
chica - Medic
Player To Watch : Lyric --- Backs is undoubtedly the leader for his squad but for these guys to win he is going to need to get support from somewhere. If Lyric can stay focused and avoid putting himself in bad situations he is the kind of Marine that can swing this match in MS favor.
Now for Blessed from Behind, they need to get a win and finish this season on a positive note. I think that the Marine talent on this squad is enough to offset the poor med play they've had. They have some players that can really get after guys and create some opportunities to win battles. That said the meds need to really perform above their season marks, most importantly they need to just stay alive.
I think that Palm will have a plan in place for the match and if BFB comes out and executes and stays focused they can win the rematch of this game and finish the season on a high note. Last week they showed in their match against Infamous that they could hang with anybody. They just need to put together a full match and stay the course and not beat themselves. Try to eliminate the bad deaths, and conserve them because in this match every kill/death will matter. They are going to need their full complement of Marines to be successful here, and if the crazy Scotsman shows then they will probably walk away with this one.
Best Lineup:
Palm - Marine
Furcifer - Marine
TacoStand - Marine
solid snake22 - Marine
Brake - Marine
Bias - Marine
Kai - Medic
Babble - Medic
Player To Watch : Brake ---- This squad boasts a lot of marines that can do good things for them. In the first matchup solid snake was the key player. 3K, Palm, and Taco must show up. But to really pull this match out they need for Brake to step up and play headily. He has a tendency of putting himself in bad spots, and taking bad deaths by eating streams on battles that are cleanups. If he plays smart. He will be the difference in this match.
Summary/Notes/Prediction:
I feel these two squads have a lot to play for even if they don't have a postseason looming. These squads will be vying for bragging rights over one another and the satisfaction of not being in last place.
For Backs, he's had a season of growth. Growth as a leader and growth as a player. Maybe not growth as a poster yet. We'll get him there one day... maybe. Win or lose congrats on the season and putting together your bunch of guys to make things interesting. Looking forward to seeing what you will bring to the league next season.
For Palm and Taco: Great job this season keeping this squad together. From week one until now you guys have shown a lot of growth as a squad. I wish you guys success in your future endeavors in the league and know that while in terms of wins and losses it may not have been what you'd hoped for, at least you tried, you showed up and you competed.
To the match: I think I narrowed down the big keys in this one. It will really boil down to whose weakness plays better. I think this match is Blessed from Behind's to lose. I think the cast of Marines they are going to put out will overshadow the lacking of medics they have. I think MS will keep this game really close and it will go to the wire because their med play is going to keep them in it. They just aren't going to get enough from their Marines to carry them to a win.
Final Score: 60-53 BFB over MS
