In that case I don't think people should be talking about having new admins. I've seen talk about it other threads and knowing you've always been admin for one season seems unfair to you.
Did you replace someone else and if so, did they step down?

If you're referring to yosh, then no. He joined BB to ensure that squad doesn't fade. Would be silly to loan yourself out and play the squad you just came from the first week.

Not sure where I agreed with you. People make changes in the off-season due to different circumstances. Would be stupid to start enforcing that rule before the season even begins. It's not hurting anyone as there haven't been any games played yet.

I guess you and I have different definitions of off-season. I agree it's not hurting anyone currently... what about in 3 weeks if/when he leaves to go back to your squad? Essentially doing the loaner-program all over again, which is why the rule was started. Hopefully he stays on there for the full season so this conversation doesn't get brought back up.

I'm pretty sure the "loaner program" was so you played against lesser squads. Not against any top squads. Considering BBB plays TYB, idc and Apoc in the first 3 weeks I don't think there is any statistical or tactical advantage to what yosh is doing besides helping out Big Bird.

He could have just not joined <i>any</i> squad in the off-season at all and then joined BBB and been able to go freely to any squad he wanted to. It's the same difference. I don't know what his intentions are besides what he told us when he left. And that was "I'm going to help BBB this season"

This is a brand new rule. You cannot be too restrictive with it just yet until we see how it plays out. The NT rules are going to cover the squad hopping for the most part anyways.

That may be but it still doesn't affect how the rule plays out. This is just one of the pieces to stop the loaner program and squad hopping in general. It's not the only rule.

Season doesn't officially begin until the first match starts. There are so many things leading up to the season that can happen that could push the start date back (which has happened plenty of times).

There's really no point debating it. Yosh joined to help out a lesser squad and probably get stat padded the first 3 weeks anyways.

Abbath, don't feel bad for Zeus. He literally *spec all'd a league match, had his ref removed. Then dp brought him back on board as basically assistant admin the very next season. Both of their tenure has been utter corrupt trash.

One thing to note is the updated waiver period rule. Make sure you read this so you aren't surprised. This should really help out "loaning" and squad hopping.

3.1 Non-Team Players are players that are not on any current season roster, or those who recently joined a squad that are still on a wait period. Wait periods will be enforced only when a squad has enough members without needing to use a player currently serving a wait period.

3.4 NT players can only be used if there are no other members of the squad present. This includes players currently serving a wait period. (Example: A captain cannot choose to use a player serving a wait period if he has 7 or 8 members online that are not serving one.)
