The 3 Death Limit is big identity of SL and a big differentiation between it and USL.

SL: 3 deaths, Best of 3, Flags, Trees
USL: Unlimited deaths, No flags, 1 game, no real Tree factor

a "hybrid" is what the league was designed for, no idea where everyone keeps getting the idea that USL is strictly A and not B.

The play has evolved and changed, I think it's time the league did the same. We should be taking the best parts of every league and unify them together.

The only reason I suggested to remove the death limit is because people like USL and there's interest for SL. So combining both could be something to get more people on board. At this point trying to run 2 leagues side by side is a pipe dream.

P.S backs I went like 17-4 throughout 5 games I don't think that's a lot of deaths.

The 3 death rule punishes players for playing bad and leaders for leading a bad fight. From that the players learn not to fuck up and the leaders adapt to make sure the same shit doesn't happen again. Keep in mind the whole point of this test draft is to see if we want to explore a season with SL not make it more USL or CTF like. I agree some small changes can work but don't change what made SL truely different from other leagues.

I'd say make it an option for both teams to agree to a game time so if Leak and Apollo agreed to 10m game there was a command to make it a 10 minute game and maybe do it for a 15m or 20m game? Not sure if this is doable but I think thats a nice compromise. That way we could make a rule saying games are normally 20m but if agreed they can be reduced to 15m or 10m if an agreement cannot be made then defaults to 20m.

So, back on topic. Do we want to try and put any changes in before the matches this Sunday? We could try:

- 15 minutes (keep it at 3 deaths)
- No more OT. Either win by eliminating the other team, total kills, or flagging them out.
- Remove mid flags? Or just use 1 mid flag and make it more central?

I'm okay with the first two changes but would rather keep flags as is. I like having flags in mid bc it forces mid battles that would otherwise not happen.
