Alright, so most of you know that I wrote a new gametype that resides within Kaiser Pass.. Using it this season for the main league is out of the question as it needs to be tested and polished some more.

So, what I am proposing is a mini-season (comparable to the mini sl draft) to put the gametype through some COMPETITIVE testing versus what little public play it has seen.

8 man squads
6v6 matches (2 meds, 3 rines, +1 support?)
Best out of 5 rounds with 5 minute rounds.

The objective for those of you that have not played it yet..
Offense versus Defense. (This alternates each round)
Each round is 5 minutes, within those 5 minutes you need to either detonate the bomb/eliminate the opposing squad, or as defense defend the bombsites for those 5 minutes or eliminate the offense. (Eliminating the offense while a bomb is armed and ticking down does not equal a round win, you still need to defuse)

The bomb itself is a flag that spawns for the team on offense and must be carried to either bombsite to be planted. The enemy team cannot pick up the bomb but they can see it laying on the ground.

I'm not sure if I would like to do a draft style mini-season or allow formation of squads. I'm open to ideas & suggestions.

I would play, purely objective-based games make for the best infantry play.

So this is like a Siege type game mode. I like the idea HS.

Also, bullshit to a minimum? LUL that's not gonna happen in this league.

More or less like search and destroy on CoD.

I enjoyed the few pub games that were played with it.

Not a huge fan of the game mode. Within minutes this game mode brings a 12v12 to a 5v5. None willing to participate.

I'm pretty sure majority of the public is afraid to try anything new. Which is crazy considering how mindless TDM can get after a few games of it lol.

I'd also considering trying 2 or 3 death elimination if that entices anyone to want to try the gametype some more.

3 is probably too much for 5 minute rounds, but i think 2 would be mint and entice more people to play it for sure.

Possible to add a "crown" for the first player eliminated if bomb is planted? Where crowned player if he gets a kill will eliminate 2 players. Would make it interesting to see crown player be extra aggressive at bomb knowing he only had a few seconds if he fails to stop bomb

Sounds like it'd just over complicate things even more.

That was the idea yeah. It'd be interesting to see some legit objective gameplay in a competitive setting in Infantry. TDM does get boring.
