Worms are a mid-tier squad angling to slowly inch past their opponents.
--------------------------------
Worms are my sleeper squad for this season.
Worms is essentially a collection of role players. The starting lineup is comprised primarily of low A - high B talent: Dracolich with his accurate streams, Mizzouse's lethal flanks, Jekyll and Bronco staffing the medic corps, SM bringing the fury, and Guerilla, R and Haup leading the merry troupe.
In addition, they don't lose a lot when they turn to the bench for substitutes, having solid choices with Bmei, slob and Gauge.
For this squad to do well, even if they come together as a team, the future depends primarily on a few key players performing their roles:
1. Guerilla - Worms plays best under his leadership. He needs to assume that role permanently, with R and Haup being extra vocal to help facilitate. He also needs to put up numbers - 2:1 or 3:1 K/D is honestly what's needed. He is the real X factor here.
2. SM - Clearly one of the most talented players on Worms' lineup, the squad will lean on him to open up battles in stalemates. SM needs to score consistent enemy hits and be a big factor in the push and on the scoreboard for Worms to succeed.
3. Jekyll - It's been some time since Jek was a heavyweight in Skirmish league playing ripper and marine, and in returning to the game, it looks like he's trying to play medic - an area of weakness for Worms. I fully support that choice, and will be interested to see if he can come back to form in a new position. God knows he has the talent to play anywhere he wants. Bronco will already provide consistent medding for Worms; if Jekyll can play also assume the role of solid, consistent medic - Worms could pull off some crazy upsets this season.
For Worms, this season will come down to preparation and hustle. They need to execute on plays, minimize careless deaths, and stay on point with their leader if they want to pull wins over what will frequently be more talented opponents.
Player Notes:
SM: 84
Secret Marine is a brilliant marine, whose potential is still growing. Seamlessly transitions from leading main to a solo flanker without any loss in quality. Also one of the more consistent players on Worms starting lineup. Expect to see him on the top of the leaderboards.
splittah: 84
Guerilla is the best player on Worms lineup. Even as rusty as he is right now, you can see how dominating he can be in a firefight. I think Worms will be at their best with Splittah at the helm, with Haup and R commanding at his side. Has the ability to be one of the best marines in USL Season 3.

Haup is incredibly talented both as a marine and a leader. In past season he was a force to be wreckoned with, although of late he seems a bit out of form. He will need to step up if he is going to fill his role as the biggest threat on the Worms starting lineup.
r: 76
Good player, but the quality of play varies. As a leader or vocal member of the team he is always on point, and that makes up for the inconsistency in his game. We are going to need to see better performances in the game out of R if Worms wants to see the playoffs.
Draco: 76
Dracolich is one of the most consistently above average marines playing in the league. The guy constantly outkicks his coverage in league games. Great at focus fire and works well in chokes, he brings a lot to this worms starting lineup if he returns to being active.
bronco: 76
Consistently good medic. Reacts well in firefights. Good communication skills, good reaction times. This could be a breakout season for bronco, and Worms needs it from him.
Mizzouse: 75
Good Flanking Marine. At his best during a firefight, where his streams and long laws open battles up. A candidate for most underrated USL Marine.
Tornado: 72
Quality Marine. Good at scavenging kills from distance, but caught too often unawares on the flanks.
