Hello Skirmish,
I played Skirmish League probably 10 years ago under Orc Warlord. Seems like those stats don't exist anymore (feelsbad).
Anyways, I played Continuum with Infinite last season carrying his team and he invited me over to infantry just to realize that this guy has to get carried here too.
I had the opportunity to sit in on one of mean girls SB's (thanks Oct, chica, and everyone else) and there was definitely a big difference between Inf's shotcalling (hide in the dropship!!) and Mean Girls.
I only played one or two games last season with Inf and it was virtually just him talking so I'll likely have to do a lot of help with keeping shit organized mid-match. I'd like to not lose every game 150-5 if possible.
Looking for tips on shotcalling for a shit team and basic marine tips so I can go even or positive and do more leading to save this team.

Play to your strengths and set up ambushes. If you're not confident with your Marines stacking up against the opposing teams, have them come to you. You can also have your players mark the opposing meds and tell them to focus them every battle, or the opposing teams main shot caller. P much all I got.

the most important thing to work on is positioning and understanding the importance of angles. aim & dodge will come with time (or not), but if you know where to be during a battle without the leader having to tell you, you'll already be ahead of the pack.
try to stay in line with your team and don't overextend too far. once you poke your head out too far, you become exposed and will get picked off easily by good teams.
fighting for angles is what wins most battles. if you're getting shot at, don't stop and and try to fight it out if you are in a bad position. ignore the gunfire for a bit and work your way to a more advantageous position and then continue to engage.
not getting blown out comes down to leadership. if you're on a low tier squad, the key is to minimize the amount of battles you engage in throughout the 30 minutes. this (unfortunately) involves staying compact and only engaging in battles where you have a positional advantage. utilizing ambushes and quick pushes to catch a flank team is also helpful. I think kippa does this (or used to do this) the best and is able to get the most out of working with lower tiered players.
also check out champ's stickied post, lots of helpful info in there.

Drink a lot of Pabst Blue Ribbon and ask people to Dock while in game. This also helps build character.
