Every squad left is full and/or a vet clique

I've been able to SB with flex squads once or twice lately but I'm out of the league with the death of USL. As a new player at the end of last season, I haven't really had any time to make connections here.

Anybody looking for filler? mic, two hands, willing to play anything.

Have you tried checking with Send Noobs? Cage seems like he might be pretty open to players there, not trying to speak for him though obviously.

I don't know anybody so it's a bit weird unless we SB first or something to beg random capts to let me sit on the bench.

Can we talk about why Infinite was banned? I understand he was accused of building a squad full of duplicate accounts but he claims this is not the case. Why are we pretty much lynching an entire squad? Lord knows most of the other squads will not soak up these players and I don't see them having much direction in starting a squad themselves. (unless another experienced player steps up)

Let me confer with the other captains. We do have one slot. We prioritize willingness to learn and listen to leading, having a mic is a big plus because we rely on communication heavily. The conflict before was that we didnt want to steal from an active squad and destabalize them.

I've only known infinite for a few months leading him in another game but I can tell you he is not smart enough to pull off some sort of grand scheme like that. He just wants to play, strategy is not his forte.

I was on Hypocrites for a while (at least I thought I was) we even SB'd once or twice and I did count 8 names on mumble, playing independently, half of which with mics.

All Inf told me was "RIP USL HOTLINE" on steam but I didn't hear any of this "Inf's a cheater" shit. Whats the point of cheating to lose 120-10 regardless? Did nobody think of that angle?

This is just my hypothesis but for starters:

1) Yes infinite probably made all those extra accounts which chris had warned him not to do on several occasions.

2) Most of those duplicated accounts hardly log in to game, yes he could be registering those account for actual players but said players actually never show up to his matches.

3) Instead of having a 7th squad that would likely forfeit or need NTs and delay match times every week also causing a scheduled bye-week the staff decided to go with 6.

MG did sb against USL HOTLINE or whatever name they were using a couple of times.

They only had 6 both times though iirc and had to use NT. But that’s not surprising.

I do agree if the squad wasn’t a real squad or if it was going to only show 4-5 every week it wasn’t worth having. But are we sure that was the case?

I mean, if you look at the last match USL Hotline played here is who got minutes:

I recognize like 6-7 of those names as people I thought were on Hypocrites. Aphro (or was it Adje) I believe left for better pastures and i dunno who Jerry Jud is, but Inf/Lone Outlaw/Moop/Jizzron/Floppy are all def unique people.

We also play Hockey Zone (Continuum/Subspace) together so it's very possible Inf just asked a couple people if they wanted to play and they squad joined / might have looked like "extra accounts". He's been posting about infantry there a couple times lately:

Sounds like you guys just didn't want to play against Infinite's team, than any sort of actual "cheating". Which is totally fair since they are -100 kills every game, but at least be honest.

Again that was just my guestimation doris doesn't mean that was the reasoning for it or rather a justification for removing him.

It just takes a pretty big leap of logic for me to go from "Inf has trouble showing 2-3 people" to "The team is obviously dead and needs to be removed" unless the reason is that certain people don't want to waste their time playing against Inf's team in the first place.

I guess USL has a history of showing under the league limit but when you are talking about one squad and not a leaguewide issue, when teams have 13 regged players on an 8 player map (almost half the team is on the bench) - it just seems better for everybody to let people who end up unhappy with playing time or new players filter in.

By removing Inf's team one creates this awkward situation I'm in now where every squad is full of a starting clique and even the bench slots are almost filled and the season hasn't even started. No room for absorption, adjustment, or seeking greener pastures as a player.

Free Agent list has 10 people who have been online in the last two days, and I'm sure people trickle in through the season.

Clearly the answer here is for someone with more popularity than me to create a new squad, but honestly if you remake Infinite's squad with all the players he would have had in the first place - why remake it?

I did not remove USL Hotline. I removed Hypocrites because Infinite registered his squad with fake accounts. He accepted applications that had been lingering for months just to fill it up. Those accounts haven't been logged into the site or active for a long time. And some of the accounts were his that he created a long time ago that I told him not to do. I warned him about this <b>many</b> times. He was just trolling because I silenced him on the forums for a day and he got mad.

What about the 5 or 6 of us on Hypocrites (not even counting Infinite) who just suddenly got their team removed with no notification two weeks before the season? Feels a bit of an overreaction to get rid of a team with 6-7 active players because the Owner added two or three (or whatever) fake aliases to pad the roster that probably wouldn't have made it to the actual season start. Doesn't having an alias on an inactive squad not count for multi in the rules? Can a squad be "active" before the season starts?

This is a fight I won't win and I'm not really that interested in going to bat over Infinite, because I fully know he is capable of some dumbass shit, but this honestly sucks for someone like Lone Outlaw who is 100% not going to find another team without Infinite (lmao hope you dont read this Falconeer).

It just seems a bit thoughtless / impatient to just jump to deleting the team straight up, even if you are frustrated by Infinite's actions. It just arbitrarily complicates the situation further when a forum PM probably could have solved the problem.

Infinite may be dumb as rocks, bad at the game, and make some questionable choices but I wouldn't be here trying to play this season if he hadn't gotten me in as an NT at the end of last season, and introduced me to the community. Pretty sure that goes for a handful of people on the team last season.

There are literally 4 spots in the league left after this. Hypocrites had more active players than that.

Would they be allowed to try to make a squad still? There are a lot of Free Agents.

5-6 is a bit of an over estimation. There were like 3 active USL accounts on the squad. Hypocrites was nowhere on the radar for joining USL until he was silenced on the forums and he wanted to make a stink. I'm sorry that you were caught up in that but I warned Infinite many times about this.

I have no problems with anyone making a legitimate squad. But it's up to the rest of the head staff if they want to allow a 7th squad in at this point. I saw a lot of talk about how 6 squads is preferred because the 7th squad is usually an Infinite squad that never shows enough and has to use a ton of NTs. And people don't really like bye weeks.
