So after last night's fiasco of 35 of us getting locked in spec, HellSpawn and Octavian are trying to do the exact same thing tonight, but are going about it a bit more cleverly.

I am here to expose their scheme.

They have now ported Red vs. Blue to Cazzo Forge. However, event voting is not enabled. The map switches to Cazzo Forge instead of Red vs. Blue automatically at the end of the game if the population is greater than 4 players.

He also made sure to say that events in all of the other zones are disabled.

This means that tonight, if we have more than 4 players online, the only choice we have to play is Cazzo Forge. Literally, nothing else is a choice. Not even the Red vs. Blue that they ported in to Cazzo Forge to trick Jovan/Mizzouse into thinking they are providing a choice.

I for one will not be forced to play a zone. I like the zone, but I refuse to allow HellSpawn to dictate what we play and when.

I have been trying to catch up and figure out what exactly is going on here but I've seen conflicting information from both sides. But since it isn't necessarily an issue that affects league matches or this website I am trying to stay neutral until I get a full understanding. There is also a topic for this already so I'm not sure why another one needed to be created. Either way, I think Mizz could probably clear this up better than any of us right now.

It affects the league directly in these ways:

Population won't build for the night if everything is disabled except 1 unpopular choice

Sb's won't happen if population doesn't build

Activity drops and number of squads drop for next season

Perhaps. But there was a season where we did salary and no one logged on at all outside of Sundays. Literally no one and we managed just fine. I'm not saying that this still isn't an issue that should be addressed but I think it may just be temporary hiccup.

I actually just found out about it last night as well. I'm not against zone testing, I am against forcing it. Regardless of what people say, I was against speccing people last night. Once I left the arena, apparently that's what happened.

By the time I got home from work last night and logged in, it seemed like public play and sbs were occurring. There wasn't really anyone on to fill me in on what was going on. I'm definitely against forcing zone testing. If you want to force it do it on a night where people aren't trying to get in sbs/practice for this weekends upcoming matches. Days like Friday/Saturday where hardly any sbs happen would be much better used for testing zones.

If someone could be online at peak time (9-10 ESTish) to enable events in the other zones that would be greatly appreciated. I believe they are still planning on disabling everything except Cazzo Forge at this point in time.

I'm not able to, he disabled them through the code I'm pretty sure. Which is not cool at all. It's one thing to test your zone but another thing to take away public play from others. Maybe try to communicate with others who run the league and set up a time frame for these tests. The events in the other zones should not be forcefully removed without communication.

Again, what does USL have to do with public play on shit minimaps? FreeInfantry != USLZone, get that delusion out of your head.

Not true I did *event redblue or *event greenyellow for them last night and it worked fine. They just disabled the voting function.

You know the only population that occurs lately is people coming on to play pub while waiting for their squads to get on and SB. Taking away the place where they waste time and are able to play on a smaller map while waiting for the rest of their squads to log on is not fair.

Kudos to trying to improve the game but you're going at it the wrong way by forcing the only population the game has left to play your zone. If they want to come test it they will. Being forced into logging into your map because you've disabled theirs is a joke.

I'm literally logged in right now trying to activate the events Eric. They are completely disabled currently. Why would I make up not being able to enable them?

From what it sounds like from Jovan and Mizzouse they didn't say he could do this. He's went rogue on this one.
