If you want to punish Backs, give him 20 deaths for the spec.

If you want to punish VC, make him cheer for the Atlanta Hawks.

But in all seriousness, after Backs made 3 or so threads whining about Palm speccing, he definitely deserves some form of punishment for his bullshit.

The only people who would view more deaths as a punishment in an already lost match are on FD

He broke the rule as it was clearly written so i'm not advocating it be overturned. But after the season this really needs rewording because the punishment for this is more extreme than if a squad wanted to sit in a dropship with under 5 minutes remaining to hold a 6 kill lead. Take these 2 rules.

7.5 YOUR OWN RAPE LINES: A squad cannot sit behind their own rape lines for more than 1 minute (unless engaged in battle). If the offending squad is ahead in score, they will lose a player slot for 2 minutes and the enemy squad may be allowed to enter at the Referee�s discretion above 1 minute remaining. At 1 minute or below the rape lines are automatically voided.

7.8 CAMPING AT OR BELOW 5 MINUTES OF GAMEPLAY: If there is 5 minutes or less remaining in the match, a squad cannot camp for more than 1 minute. If the squad ignores the Referee when being asked to move, a player slot will be taken away for the remainder of the game and a kill will be awarded to the opposing squad.

Nowhere in either of those definitions is a ban listed for any offending member, but yet it's an action that is directly influencing the competitive nature of the game.

To me it just seems to be the whole speccing to save a death rule is overhanded and poorly thought out since the punishment of awarding 2 kills to the opposing team in it of itself is punishment enough to dissuade anyone from using this tactic where if a squad wanted to make a concerted effort to sit on a lead without actually playing the game there's no punishment in the rule book for it.

How bout we remove the ability to spec out in an offical match? That way these cowards dont even have the option

Anyways, r makes a lot of sense. There should be a spec timer on every map. My map as well as KR I think do not have one. That would be a quick fix.

This is hella stupid. Why ban someone for specing in the first place. Did you guys know there is a feature that you can turn on, and it would makes it so no one can spec you?;furthermore, anyone can spec anyone in this game since there is a spec lobby. This really doesn't make sense to even have the rights to ban someone just for specing. Ether free backs or let no one be in arena while there is a sb going on, and let both captains turn in stats. Y'all took over this game, and made it into a shit show, seriously.

Backs specced to avoid dying. USL is basically a TDM league built around kills and deaths. When Backs avoids dying by abusing game mechanics, he is potentially ruining the outcome of a match.

He is being punished for being a selfish spoiled little brat who broke the rules.

Don't want to get banned? Act like a grown up. Don't break the rules.

It's not rocket science. Backs has only himself to blame.

The reason there is a rule about it is because it has been done before and used to win against a squad that was down by 1 kill. Someone specced right before dying to avoid the game going into ot. All these rules have been added because people figured out ways to abuse the system.
