This will be the 4th time over a few years where i'm going to attempt to get this rule changed.

This is the current rule.

7.6 OPPOSING TEAM RAPE LINES: A player may only cross an enemy's rape line for an angle or ammo. A player CAN NOT fire any weapon when beyond the enemy�s rape line. If a player does fire, the player will be specced immediately and can be put in again at the Captain's request. If the player fires when beyond a rape line a second time in a match, the player will be specced for the rest of the game, and the player's team will lose a player slot for 5 minutes.

Now I can go a handful of different ways with this and I will gladly accept what can be agreed upon.

If the squad your facing ends up behind your rape line, the only way to find them is to cheat or have a very lucky timed sub. You literally have to cheat to find the enemy if they happen to be at your dropship (not one map can you see your own dropship after crossing rape lines).

yes- I get they cannot fire and that puts them at a disadvantage but how can you take advantage when you have to cheat to find them?

No Stones find the enemy inside their own base. But because of the current rule are unable to cross over to fight them where the "advantage" is. Literally needing to make a sub to take advantage of FD behind rapelines.

Okay so now we've seen how this can be abused.

What I would like to see happen is a rule change, and I'm fine with a lot of things to make this rule change.

1) Both teams can cross rape lines at any point all game, if your squad is in enemy base you can/can't fire. (like 3 out comes with can or cannot fire, all of which im okay with)

2) Neither team can cross any rape lines

3) Both team can cross any rape line, but new camp timer rules are enforced

4)We get rid of rape lines

5) we use barricades so nobody has the option to cross over

6)Keep rules the same but in game message notifies arena when enemy has crossed your own rapes line, or a ref notifies other team of said crossing.

7) Nobody can cross but in last 10 minutes rape lines are voided.

If we do allow crossing back into your own rape lines we would need to come up with something about a player attempting to hide in their own ds. I was thinking instant loss that week or season long ban if they attempt to abuse.

I'm sure there are 50 other solutions that would or could work better than what is in place. I'm really okay with all of them I just don't want a squad to need to cheat or have a lucky sub to find enemy team.

Just make the rape lines one-way physics and be done with it. Defending team can still fire out to prevent base rape. But nobody can cross back in at any time. (They can still be voided at the 2 minute mark using door mechanics to remove the physics)

fyi the rule states you can only go into the enemie's rape lines to get an angle or ammo. people who stay there have been abusing the rule but no ref ever acted on it. nice league.

Ya. We discussed this last night. Refs in S18 will be told to enforce that rule much stricter.

We'll still allow players/enemy teams to maneuver thru the rape lines. But we will run an extremely quick camping timer if a team looks like it's stopping there.

^ just half the camp timer inside rape lines and be done with it.

Secondary rape lines please. I think manu first video illustrates an issue we have in the league. They are camping near their rape lines which limit the amount of positions you can attack the enemy. Should be able to have a secondary rape lines so you can have multiple angles in place.

Secondary rape lines like Sov said. The first are one-way, you cant go back. The second have special shortened camp timer rules

These solutions are putting more on the refs, which we already have a shortage of. Asking them to watch second for second each teams is unrealistic and setting ourselves up for failure especially if infinite ever decides to stop recording matches.
I'm asking for a solution that doesn't require any babysitting, or cheating to find the enemy even just running through the enemy base you have to watch your own base which is off limits to your team (logic seems backwards here)

What from the first video shows you an issue about camping next to your base?

If you mean fd camping next to a base I kind of see what you mean, but the better video to show that point is pc vs friend video.

No Stones is in south rocks and south mid at minute 16-15 ingame, Splittah sees FD group running north so they run back South towards their own base and sees FD in their own base at minute 14. With the current rules they are unable to go through the base after catching FD in a bad position.

I mean running through enemy rape lines for angles is perfectly justifiable. Helps break camps that are right next to the base and has provided a lot of helpful angles and plays through the years.

Just don't let anyone sit in enemy rape lines without moving for like 30 seconds or something.

Eh, as someone who has had to ref a lot these last few seasons, it won't be that hard to go "camping warning get moving or lose a player slot"

Give the team 10s to start moving out of rape lines, if they don't start heading out spec a player

Im just trying to edit the rule even something as simple as, if you catch enemy player is crossed your rape lines your team can now cross freely for the next minute.
It doesn't help the point of needing to cheat to find the enemy, but its a step closer.

What i've suggested before was moving the rape line back a bit so you can "check" your own rape lines without crossing to find the enemy. I'm just not a fan of having actual hidden spots where a team would have zero chance to find w.o cheating.

r I meant secondary rape lines that can be used for the opposing team. So if collective is camping near their rape lines, titan can enter the portion consider the secondary rape lines and use it as an angle to shoot at titan. This way it will deter squads camping near their rape lines since they can't go back to their own rape lines and opposing squads will have more angles to shoot at enemies camping by their rape lines.

No stones video only shows two things; a squad camping next to their rape lines in which a squad was inside to get an additional angle. Said squad could not do anything because the rules favor a squad camping near their rape lines. That needs to be fixed. A squad rewarded by camping next to their ds.

The other video shows some pretty bad reffing tbh. Backs re-enters his own rape lines and I believe someone told he only got a warning? lol 7.4 violated. Eric squad violated rule 7.5 and no ref enforced it. This occurred in the beginning of the match and we face checked them inside their own ds because who would think a squad is camping inside their own ds. No spec outs by the refs. 7.6 as manu video shows they camped inside our own rape lines instead of using it to get an angle or ammo. I believe the video shows someone shooting inside our rape lines. That's just a string of a lot of rules not being enforced for some reason. Sucks but we still got the win.

In the end of the day manu you have two ways to look at it. No squad can enter the opposing team rape lines to avoid refs enforcing the rules correctly. Only positive is that it will prevent squads from not hiding in the opposing team ds or not being punished when they are caught in their ds. The downside? The squad camping near their ds are favor because they only have to worry about defending certain areas as they know zero squads cannot enter my rape lines.

I'll stick with the refs possibly not enforcing the rules correctly than play bad map that have a design which limit the ways I can attack squads camping next to their ds.

Any discussion shouldn't be off the table. Any way if we do nothing were doing exactly what sov has mentioned hoping the refs can watch 16 people closely and hope they get it right, and if they dont. Keep on hoping infinite got evidence or hoping someone grants appeal.

With some slight coding or wordage change on the rule all of this will be eliminated.

I've shown 2 videos but this problem has been around since ive seen kippa show me in season 4. Which he had to perfect long before than.
The current rule is in place based off the poor sportsmanship rule which was vague and dismissed when used in later season by infinite.
I'm just saying lets finish off the rule that Armor attempted to put in place. Because the current rule has no solution other than well timed sub or cheat to find the enemy.
