The rule says if you join before the first match of the season you can play. Which also means you can play week 2. As long as you're still on that same squad you joined before the first match of week 1.

If you join a squad after the first match of the season you cannot play week 1 or week 2.

It's. That. Simple. Am I taking crazy pills or am I being trolled?

What if you join mid Match first week where a team has a d/c player or needs to get the door to get there pizza. So they join on site 5min into the game. Can they play week 2?

Maybe you don't need week periods. How about suspending players 1 game once they join?

https://rshl.org/ci/index.php?c=rosters&LS=139

Something like this. Sorry I play Subspace Hockey Zone there. Anything with red text just like wait periods here are suspension.

The problem with 8 days period is when they join on Sunday and show up next Sunday, they are still suspended.
So basically suspended 2 games is what I'm trying to say.

Don't want to neglect players saying you can't play this week on the Sunday they join and tell them you can play next week and they show up next week and the ref say they can't play cause 1 day ineligible left.

How about if they join before first match is over? If their match is at 9:15 and they join after 9:45, they're not eligible.

lol the population is dwindling so I don't think suspending 2 games is a good idea.

If you join after the first match starts then it's just business as usual and the waiver/NT rules are in effect for you. It's really just not that hard to understand.

I think maybe the confusion lies with the first match part. It's the first scheduled match of the season. It doesn't necessarily mean your squad's first match unless your squad is playing the first game on the first Sunday of the season.

Honestly why do people need to cut it that close? Should be making decisions now

Just capitalize the word before so there isn't confusion.

I'm not sure how anyone could possibly be confused by this.

It's infantry, you really need to ask that question? The history of infantry consists of drunken, drug using players that don't even know where they are most of the time.

What if backs logs on someone else's account and changes his IP address to a different one and joins a squad at 931

What if the first match is appealed and replayed?
M
What if a player joins SECONDS before a start time on a leap year?

I thought we cleared up the Week 2 ineligible rule thingie last season?

Rule Changes
- Eligibility: if a player is eligible to play Week 1, they will be able to play Week 2, no questions asked

This reads simple, and maybe lends itself to confusion, but I think Champion has expanded upon it well enough.

If you are eligible to play Week 1 for your squad, you are eligible Week 2. If you change squads, you were no longer eligible Week 1, right? Then you are no longer eligible Week 2.

Exactly this. Being eligible means you joined a squad before any matches in the first week of the season have started.

Ineligible means you joined a squad after any matches in the first week of the season have started.

The "eligible to play week 2 because you were eligible to play week 1 rule" only applies if you stayed on the same squad.

2.5 Players joining/leaving squads will begin an 8 day wait period, shown next to their name on the squad roster. They are now considered NTs for their squad until the wait period is over. Players who join their squad before the Week 1 matches do not have to serve the 8 day wait period unless they change squads.

Pretty simple and to the point.

Another rule update:

3.3 An NT player can only NT for a squad once per week. This rule can be declared void by the current Referee if they feel that there is no other way the squad can field enough players. NT players who have not played for a squad yet that week must always be used over those who have already played.

This is a tricky rule. While it helps squads get enough players it also encourages players to just not join a squad and NT their way through a season. I think that's why it's best to leave it to the referee's discretion.

With all the changes coming to support classes, the class restrictions have been changed.

Three support classes in a 9v9 or lower and four support classes in a 10v10 or higher.

LMG has been changed back to a limit of ONE per team like the rest of the support classes.
