if you are still 300$ in the winter time that blows, the consumption of your electricity in the summer will be because of your AC unit. Pulling the LRA everytime it comes on, so if it is coming on and off consistently then there are issues with the house hold itself.

Look at electricity rates per state the top 10 has two non-contiguous states, california is one, the other 7 are in the north east.

1. Pg&e is bankrupt which is what we have.
2. Big house with open floor plan
3. Stove/oven is electric
4. A/C unit is a bit bigger than what the house needs

Electricity prices generally reflect the cost to build, finance, maintain, and operate power plants and the electricity grid. It does not mean that if there is more people it will cost more or less. There has been cases in UK where the government couldn't keep up with the maintenance of their coal power plants because the government was in bad shape, so they jacked up the prices for the consumers. You can't just say because there is more people living in one area the electricity bill will be higher, the only reason the bill is higher is due to the government wanting it to be high.
