Hey, just thought I would post my opinion of all the maps, whats good about them and whats bad about them. I have included a shitty drawing diagram of every COMMON route taken on all 4 maps. You can clearly see which maps have more flow throughout.

1. Bombs Map

Positives - Original, fresh, rarely played on and a nice change.

Negatives - repetitive fights, seems as if collective side has the advantage.


2. My Map

Positives - New change, never before played on. Good flow, pretty balanced, hard to camp.

Negatives - untested, bugs, I made it


3. KR Map.

Positives - most familiar, tested, well liked

Negatives - Fights are generally all south, titan has a huge disadvantage.


4. EC Map

Positives - Most balanced map

Negatives - Very 'campy', squads generally camp a lot more because its easier to do. Total match scores are generally the lowest on this map


Again this was all just my opinion after sbing on all of them over the years, would love to hear your opinions.

And yeah I'm biased, I expect Mar & Bomb to be as well :^)

I don't think it's too biased, and for me it really comes down to Apollo's and Bomb's maps. I'd be interested in your map for sure, Apollo, but there are just so many things that need to be implemented (I know you're trying to get the changes in, I'm talking about them actually being updated in game) and little guarantee that it will happen on time.

Since this is the case, to me Bomb's map seems like a better choice just because we don't have to worry about getting updates or fixes in time, it's still a refreshing change from EC/KR, and honestly it seems to me like we pretty much fight in the south no matter what the map is, although that could just be my uneducated opinion.

Seriously though, let's just choose one and get on with it.

I'm not sure about you but I remember fighting a lot in the north east area of Bomb's map when I played on it. Maybe not that ridge at the very top but that whole road/rocks area on the east portion of the map was used all the time. ESPECIALLY that middle ridge/rocks area just southeast of titan base.

i think once we get the cave fixed apollo's map should be pretty fun. the battles are mainly south but the flow is actually smooth

Clearly can see Apollo's map is the next thing.

BUT... needs a lot of fixing

Either postpone USL till the map is more playable (aka tunnel/cave at least works) or put EC or KR (never played on bombs map so I cannot vote for it and based on the "flow" shit looks horrible worst than ec and kr) on for another season.

Can you put LAVA MAP UP THERE

Apollo's map: "hard to camp". Your map apart from EC is the easiest map to camp. All you do is stay south and force the other team to send a massively long flank which ends up being useless as they get cut off at the ridge.

Lava map would be amazing.

actually i was always very "meh play my map if u guys want" about it... i made it mostly out of boredom and the stagnation of constantly playing EC/KR. it had its issues but it was mostly worked out to play in a way that gave not just a new map but a different playstyle than ec/kr. that south area was used a good amount...but honestly i saw some really good battles all over the map(the garage up north, and the ridge in the middle are really fun areas)

like i said before, i think your map looks good and there's some areas that look like they can be something different than what everyones already played for 10 years...i hope peeps give it a chance and i hope peeps enjoy it because boredom is what killed the game for a lot of people. i wish i could be like "hey you know what, lets come together and make some kind of ultimap to rule all maps" and give everyone a boner but i honestly just dont have the desire or care enough to put that amount of effort back into inf again.

Khaos/kippa....just because you guys have played maybe a season of SL on Lava and maybe even started a few games, it clearly hasn't stuck in your minds. EC was an alternate version of Lava fitted for USL gameplay

Apollos map is extremely easy to camp right now but it has a lot of areas that were supposed to be changed so i cant judge it till those changes are made. All the points I made in that post were to dissect map against camping.

Yeah only played one season but its basically a more open EC, EC HAS A LOT OF BUILDINGS AND CAMPING POINTS. You take out trees on lava map and you have a good map as far as balance goes. Prolly wont be good for this season but can we learn from whats going on and test it before the next season lol

You know what, you took that in stride...I apologize for being rude. I'll try to see if I can find a .map file of Lava and hand it off to something that might want to mess around with it. but its really going to play a lot like EC im guessing.

Problem with bombs map is half of the population never played on it and don't remember it... And there's less than two weeks til season 4z

This collective or Titan advantage is annoying af .. Just play both sides 15-20 mins then switch sides and whoever has the most kills win and stfu

Rotate the damn maps every week who gives a fuk .. Makes squad want to get on more throughout the week to practice the map

True. I agree with Havok. Why not rotate maps maybe even do it randomly. I'm sure that will encourage people to get on more!

I wouldn't be opposed to this. It would be kind of neat to have like a 5min halftime then switch sides.

revote was a bad idea.

Squads: don't know what map they will be playing on, don't know how to properly recruit with an unknown amount of max players. Have to participate in an entrance tournament. Red flags all off season.

5 min half times would be the best thing. No more afkers from bathroom breaks!
