how is the admin biased? tell me one biased decision he has made.

I have gotten more criticism about my map from people on my squad than anyone while I was making it. What should be removed, added, etc. Bomb told me that you can't please everyone while making a map and you are the prime example Sov.

If my map is "FULL" of vision or physic bugs - Aside from the tunnel - please tell me specifically where, I would like to know. Honestly.

I have gotten suggestions from multiple captains, and had edited what I felt would work better. And I'm guessing thats why a lot of people changed their votes. If you don't like it, thats cool.. there are plenty of maps I don't like on Infantry. Quit bitching and actively petitioning and asking all your ctf friends to vote. I had someone say "Sov just asked me to vote for Bombs map, which one is that?"

I just played a full season on EC map while I hated and was bored of that map. Deal with it, make due, and next season there will be a new map.

Also, why did you bring up daes/sara ... you know they have both played skirmish longer than you and are both active right now right? one of them being a squad captain.

I don't get your point on the second poll sov, in the first poll apollos map won by a landslide and then we put the map up, one squad cried and got another vote and said nobody had played on it so you couldn't count the first poll. Second poll goes up and people go against apollos map before the changes were even in, they vote for bombs map (most of them not remembering what's it like to play on it or even what it looks like).

This poll is the only one that matters, and if apollos wins and you don't want to play,.. Don't play. Nobody is forcing you to play. I don't blame you if it was kr or EC this season I wouldn't play.

So please don't talk about bias

I asked Armor/Champion for an option where I can just click "View Results" and it voids my vote for that exact reason, Ernie. You can ask them. That's why I didn't vote in the original map poll when KR/EC/Apollo's map were up. However, since i plan on trying to play this season, I decided to vote in this poll.

I wouldn't be voting if I didn't think I was going to play.

Unless you're blinded by a lack of knowledge/experience as a community, it's rare that more than 50% of you agree on a poll/topic. That means, at any given time, half of you will be upset (silently or publicly). In the end, the map choice doesn't matter because you'll all never all agree on it...

What's worse is that you can't resign yourselves to the fact that people have different opinions. Instead you have to complain that bias or some other kind of injustice played into the decision going the way you didn't want it to go.

Get over yourselves and have some fun.

Why don't you just use Mark's map for half of the season and then Bomb's map for half of the season? At the end of the season the #1 seed squad can choose which map they prefer for Playoffs as an incentive for getting first?

r of course nobody can agree on a map, everyone is different and I respect that. But Captains have voted and for seasons people have said captains should run the league and make all big decisions (like what map!)

Edit: to be honest it should have never been polled to the public, it has turned into a popularity contest with people actively petitioning against/for my map to vote on site. This could have been settled in one forum post in captains forum.

I've always been for captains deciding. They are representative of their squads.

It's bad to say true statements? Of course I'm not "blanket statementing" (nice verb) the community as a whole, but there's a common theme any time something like this comes up.

Pick either map and move on and the same thing will happen. Some will enjoy it, some will complain, some will say nothing.

New staff position coming next season: map lobbyists.

Captain's votes don't really mean that much more than other votes because we have squad members voting for 1 map while their captain votes for another. If captains truly do "represent their squad" then it isn't really reflecting except for snakes. Sure, its nice to see the vote breakdown per role, squad, etc.. But to say someone's votes matter more than the rest just because it favors yourself is a bit silly. The whole community should have their say. Fairest way of doing it.

Examples:

easoe voted for Apollo's map but the rest of his squad/captains voted for Bomb's.

All of aftermath capts/co capts voted for Apollo's but some Aftermath members voted for Bomb's.

Denyers captain voted for Apollo's but most of his members voted for Bomb's.
