Okay, upon further review im going to disable keepers and make it random. Some teams just dotn have good enough people to keep.

Looks like we had this discussion last year and didn't elect for keepers. o.O Same shit this year. I don't remember you stating this would be a keeper league prior to draft or anything of that nature (maybe you did - I have a bad memory, but don't see anything here other than the decision to disable keepers). If you're going w/ keepers, it should prob be stated. I traded away Julio Jones (I had 4 of the top 10 receivers) in an attempt to win last year w/o realizing it would doom me as far as `keepers` go. Either way, on dp alone - there shouldn't be keepers. Marshawn Lynch and CJ both retiring is some bad f'n luck.

I'm fine with others using keepers if i still get 2 picks before everyone else. lol

It looks like it works that way. First round is everyones first keeper and me drafting out of everyone not selected out of keepers. At least that's how i read that.

edit: in my prior post that's what i meant instead of me literally picking before. I figured their picks are auto to their keepers and im mixed in there somehow going after players like zeke

Oh, ok - yeah. That's what it is, but we're still looking at a situation where there's 3 players with 2 first round picks (and 2 with 2 top 5 picks), whereas you might end up w/ like.. 6 (zeke) and 20 in comparison. If both r and I also elect for no keepers (the likely scenario), that means 2 of us 3 end up with something along the lines of 18/30 in comparison to a 2/4 or 3/5.

The keeper settings w/ ESPN just don't add up to a balanced league.

Yeah i hear ya on that part. I know we didn't do it last year because a lot of people took over garbage teams. This season with the injuries and retirement there are still garbage teams. I feel a full redo and possible go ahead assuming next year will be keepers would be better.

That way there wont really be those crazy trades, because you know they'll be valuable next year at least. I'd be happy with just no keepers ever though. I feel the only way keepers work fair is in an auction format.

I think if you want to go with keepers, make it known now (and spam it throughout the season for trade purposes) and switch off of ESPN either this year or next year. Keepers may have worked with the keeper format where it replaces the draft pick in the round you drafted in as opposed to 1st/2nd but ESPN doesn't give that option.
