SS: I know many people will have an opinion of Just die should be #1, although personally I think SS are the squad to beat. The reason why is simple, Jarry da god. In all seriousness (no troll) they have an active core of reliable, consistent and proven champions within the team in manu/em4/ER and Noskeeper. manu is one of my favourite captains and I personally don't think he get's the recognition he deserves. Apart from sov, he is the 2nd best medic in the league, he is an extremely capable leader and more importantly he is the gel that keeps everyone focussed and happy. manu has the best in recent USL history and despite being the best medic for multiple seasons, somehow myself and sov have snaked his award. em4,ER and nos are outstanding marines, Pandy is he can cut bring his A game is again extremely deadly. With Stav/templer they have a 2nd solid medic. My only slight concern is that they are missing a final marine to complete the jigsaw. DK is a good marine, although he is unproven at this type of level so hopefully he can have a breakout season with good peers around him and do very well.
In darths leadership in matches and manu calling shit out, they will be extremely difficult to beat. In darth we trust.
Just Die, on paper these guys are the best, that have 0 weakness in terms of player capability. Champion is the best marine, along with tg/sol/shasta/sol/y/yosh they are scary mofo's. They are all active and in sync, once they start to click, I think a lot of squads will struggle to beat them in a straight forward fire fight.
Shout out to Sov, he is on a different level from all the other medics. With Sov in your team, you just feel super confident, his dodging, aggression, healing is just too strong. I have never played or seen a stronger medic in this game than Sov, I would even go as far to say if he showed for last seasons champ match, I would still be x5.
On a map such as KR, this map will very much suit just die. The outcome of matches on KR is less about leadership and more about angles/focus fire and pressure which will be a big advantage to dave as he is less likely to choke.
Worms: Last season they didn't really live up to their hype. Although they have picked up tactical, staley and legacy which are massive pick ups. I think ernie and legacy will be the 2 best marines in the squad, although don't underestimate the impact of a solid medic in staley. I think slobco were great back in the day, but kinda like me they are faded due to inactivity. So I see worms as a dark horse providing the bench the shitters in the big games and key players step up.
Synd: Potential to be great when everyone shows. Apart from SS/just die, I think our matches against LTDN and worms will be very close. Against just die/ss we will need a bit of luck, top players to show up and perform, from me to lead well (so far it has been bad) and for the average marines on the squad to step up.
LTDN: They have potential to be good, although they don't have the minerals to win a championship due to their passive and lack of cutting edge play style. They needed to pick up more aggressive players other than Colossal. I expect it to be another top 3-4 spot for apollo/fausto with them getting put out of the playoffs once they come up against stronger opposition.
ps. watch out for Mecca's laws this season
KK: Unlike other predictiosn, I don't believe they can beat LTDN/Synd/SS/Worms, although they should beat v2/hyp pretty easily. Kay seems like a good guy with decent ability. Players like lyric have been round the block and will do a good job being vocal help KK win battles. I hope they have a good season.
Hypocrites: District shows they will beat v2. They have the potential to beat KK as well, although I don't see them doing much more this season.
