The completely non-trolling honest evaluation midseason LVP/MVP of each squad
Continuing what I did last season with less trolling post your picks in the comments.
I'll do one at season end as well.
blnt:
I don't think anyone thought they were going to be worldbeaters with their lineup... but if Eric cared, slash/hustler/apollo stayed I think they could still compete for a playoff spot, with rej/pgh vastly underperforming the playoffs were in their reach (although the poll sits right now as 6 winning, so they could make playofs either way).
MVP:
Fausto/Romu - Fausto leaving a top tier now defunct squad (crisis) to come help cael get an 8th squad, he's exactly what we need more of in the league. Now captain like he should have been since he joined, he's trying to lead these guys to be competitive but its hard given so much flux in the lineup.
Romu - For actively recruiting and trying to get as many people as he can to show up and join blnt.
LVP:
The leavers - 3 of which are squadless now, just staying on the squad and not showing would have done a lot for morale instead of leaving. Especially when it was 5 projected starters, not cool bros. Every other squads are full and you probably won't be able to play the rest of the season now.
Brown Town:
Every one expects them to be in the championship game, along with worms or ck. Beating worms with out some starters last week was impressive, although I'd say it was more worms throwing the lead at the end than bt taking advantage in the last few mins. Either way BT has been impressive this season, especially this week with their dismantling of PGH.
MVP:
Pandy/ER - ER has always been one of the most consistent and dominating players in USL history, and this season is no different. He gets instant angles and can open up battles any time he wants.
Pandy - When pandy is trying and he's not trolling he's very hard to beat, the problem is you don't know which Pandy is going to show up, it seems like this year he's calmed down the trolling (on Sundays at least) and he's pushing to win the marine award this season.
LVP:
SV - I don't know if he's offering to sit or they're just benching him because they think they have better marines, but sv should be playing almost every game on most squads in the league, it hurts to see an up and comer and cavebeast award winner to be riding the pine - free sv.
Cobra kai:
I'm going to try and be as least biased as I can be. I think cobra kai is showing a lot this year, I realize we're stacked but after a close call week one - it's just been a continual pain train since. I realize we've played a crumbling blnt and hypocrites over that span. But we also turned a playoff squad into a stat pad, which I don't see a lot of squads doing this year. Cobra kai's biggest enemey is ourselves, if the chatter is low on mumble and we let kippa orchestrate we should reach finals.
MVP:
Fill - ins: With activity issues this year we were lucky to show 8 people to the past games, thankfully our benchers are doing their part and playing big games and allow us to play games like we would with our regular starters in. Looking at you fresh/apdo.
LVP:
I'm not sure who our LVP would be this season, it seems like everyone is putting up big stats, I think the LVP would just be activity - a lot of our starters have missed at least one game this season, and that could hurt us in the end.
Hypocrites:
Yosh you still think they'll win 3 games? I called mudfly being more competitive than Hypo at the beginning of this year and most people just laughed and dismissed that, but here we are 4 games into the season and Mudfly is playing Infinitely (lol) better than hypo.
MVP:
Crip: I'd normally say Distrikt here but it seems like he doesn't give a fuck about USL at all, which is fine because I imagine its hard for any respectable player to give two shits when you're losing by 100 every game. So onto crip who i believe is mad? he's actually not playing awful, he could probably play himself on to a better squad if he keeps putting up kills in blowouts.
LVP:
Infinite - Thanks for keeping hypo around, but you should honestly just transfer to roman so he can recruit some players that will be willing to show and actually try. Playing sapper and not getting kills doesn't do anything but make the people on your squad want to show up less than they already do.
Mudfly:
I think mudfly is surprising a lot of people this season, they have some seasoned vets, but this is Brakes first year leading and he's keeping things interesting for the first few minutes of games, and then they lose a few battles and it seems to go down the shitter, but that'll happen. Should finish with at least one win (hypo).
MVP:
DK/Z - Despite my trolling of these two over the years, they're both playing pretty well despite losing every game. DK is a decent marine and he's learned from playing with bt on how to get important kills to make battles interesting. Sav's laws keeps mudfly's in battles as well, when he's not doing orbital solo flanks and plays with the team he can be a real asset.
LVP:
Ranger - show up and med man, you're probably the best medic on this roster, I know you hate playing on sundays but you could be a really bonus to this lineup.
Pam Goes Ham:
It's going to be hard to not troll these guys, they played so well against CK week one, then it seems like every week they've been getting worse somehow. This past week vs BT should inspire them to play the way they should, the thing is you don't have the best marines so you have to be smarter, you 're not gonna be squads like BT in the open, so use the ambushes that kept you within 3 kills of CK vs rejects this week. You want the 4th seed right? Play right.
MVP:
OMC - No matter who the opponent is OMC will get his kills and always be in position, he's even getting more vocal with every season that pasts, if he can catch you in a stream it can be deadly. They have a good core of marines on this squad with albert/omc/jared/killer - they just need other pepole to step up.
LVP:
I can't even avoid it at this point.
CB/KW/Ice - Ice seems to be relegated to the bench now, with pam starting and CB being the first marine off the bench, I don't know if you can blame PGH for this either, he's played two games, and died 6 times to hypocrites. That's just not acceptable you can't go 7-6 to the worst squad in the league and expect to play ever game, the talent is there I just don't know what else is missing at this point in his career.
CB - The only marine without a kill vs BT, is a better marine than pam, but is vastly underperforming this season as well. 4-7 vs ck doesn't seem awful, but when you realize everyone else went even or + then it starts to be a problem, you can't go 4-3 in a stat pad either, even if it is 15 minutes. CB has the skill, if he dropped the ego he could move up a few tiers in the marine department.
KW - 3-9 vs browntown, they can't be happy with that. I know KW will never bench because he is still one of their better marines and is very vocal on vent but 3-9 is just plain bad. 4-4 vs hypo is more important than it seems too, PGH should be trying to blow out bad squads to build squad morale.
Rejects:
I think people were vastly overestimating this roster at the beginning of the season, they have a few good marines but no real great marines, they don't have enough finishers.
MVP:
Leak - even though his stats look more impressive than they actually are because of his recent slaughtering, he's been playing well all season.. played well vs ck. He didn't do very well vs worms at all though, the top killer has to do better than 2-4 against a top team, step up.
LVP:
Warhawk - He goes 6-20 then rage quits the squad when he tries to play ripper vs the best squad in the league, I don't get it. Also fairfax for dodging hard games, very trisance-esque.
Worms:
The consensus #1 in the preseason, rebounded nicely this past week in a massacre. The BT loss still scares me, just because of the lack of vocal players during the game. They seem to lose their composure easily.
MVP:
Legacy - I know a lot of players are putting up good stats for worms, but legacy is doing all of this while leading at the same time, its hard for a leader to do that in 2016, good job.
LVP:
Splittah - 0 games played, dude plays 5 nights a week and can't show up for sundays? He'd be a huge asset for worms, he seems to finally have his skill back (when he's not switching aliases in sbs to avoid his bad stats). If he showed up that'd be a huge vocal presence on mumble too.
