Just allow anyone to be a captain. Except anyone who has had a squad that faded in season. (babble)
Like always, if they cant build a squad that will show up they wont make it onto the schedule.

All of these problems are resolved with a draft. We vote on 4/6/8 people, whatever the amount of squads we choose to have. Then draft the valued players in one sitting.

People are going to play with new people they've never played with before. That's kind of the whole point.

With so many players joining the free agents list, it would appear that there are plenty of people wanting the game to continue.

Why would anyone want to put conditions on playing? It's a game we all come to play. I get the competition part of it, but in reality (the state of the game as it is now), you should want to play it with whatever style the staff agrees on.

The staff will take everyone into consideration and make it as fun as possible for all. They either volunteered or agreed to help.

Everyone has already played with their friends. I mean, is it that important? Don't you already play other games together?

We should be willing to play with the team that has been selected by the captain(s). It's JUST 1 season. It's not going to determine anything like your lifetime skill/friendship/loyalty/ranking (everyone already knows this about each player). IF it does, that's even better. You would have earned it. Coming into a squad that isn't stacked, doesn't have chemistry, and isn't made up of a specific core group (I say that hoping everyone will get to play). It should be fun and not a wipe-out.

by "conditions" I meant,

an individual saying....I'm not going to play IF;

A certain captain picks me
Certain players are on my team
Certain players are not on my team

It's a new/trial/challenging season. Let's 'play' it out and see how it goes...

I hear you, BoldSoldier. I don't disagree. I'm not sure that we'll be able to integrate the websites at this point, but I do think that the FreeInfantry.com main should feature the USL community site on it, the download page should feature it as well (and redirect you to uslzone.com perhaps after you download the installation package), and we could add a link to the launcher as well so it's prominently featured. It's important to get people here, I think.

The other thing we COULD do is build a splash page for uslzone.com that shows images, videos, and provides download links that pushes you into the uslzone.com site.

All a matter of time, effort required, and available resources.

Here's a link to the spreadsheet I've been messing around with. Had people plug in their ratings and took the average and rounded it to the nearest 5. Then I took the average of all players and came up with a suggested salary cap based on a roster of 12.
