This is a terrible argument considering how underfunded a huge chunk of publics schools already are. Who's paying for it? Schools can barely afford textbooks but now you want to pay for armed guards, their weapons, etc? Do all schools get armed guards or only privileged ones? The country clearly can't afford to pay for all schools to have this option so who gets to pick and choose? We going to cut more classes and continue using thirty year old textbooks to make room in the budget for this, or?

Give high school teachers a raise, mandatory weapons training and keep em strapped. Kids might listen better in class too if Ms Smith is packing a berretta and knows how to use it
