I've always preferred SL to USL but as I've stated the last time this was brought up modifications would have to be done with the current state the population is as well as reffing participants.

If there was a way to do stats on site (champ) and the bugs in the zone were fixed (mizz) I don't see reffing as a problem. As for population I assume almost everyone playing USL would play SL no? Problems and logistics aside, is there anyone who doesn't like SL?

I see reffing as a huge problem especially if its Bo3. When 1 person is reffing over 85pct of games in a double length season theres a problem.

To me, it's like comparing the demo version of infantry to...a patched demo that adds maybe one more feature.

I understand that you guys like your simple and easy to use game. But now you are bored and want more features. So you think you are finally ready to handle a couple stationary flags in your games? Pardon me if I slow clap un-enthusiastically. Skirmish has survived because the amount of players requiring a simple layout outnumbers the players that had the mental capacity to handle additional mechanics and concepts who have stopped playing.

USL/SL:
5 buttons a player will ever need to click in their inventory (primary, secondary, nade, law, knife)
Every shot does the same amount of damage, every time. (no need for energy awareness)
Missiles that only do damage against walls, or when they run out of lifetime and blow 2 coords away, but pass through everything in between there. One shot kill usually.

CTF:
Up to 16 items
Energy mechanics
Turrets/repairs/minerals
Movable flags

Countless other comparisons, but the point is, enjoy your simple little baby-infantry for what it is, you start adding more stuff and you'll just alienate the players that have made a career playing here, or the CTF'ers who know what flagging is actually supposed to be like. (hint, it's not tapping a flag and then running around in trees.)

You seem to be under the impression that the community got together and decided which zone/league we should all play. This is what the few people on this game flock to. Go play any zone you want. Others will join you if they want to. Quit the game and noone will give a flying fuck.

But theres no reason to be a cynical cunt to all of us just because this is where people end up.

SL isn't bad it's just a lot slower than USL which can be a nice change of pace. But it's still not my cup of tea.

... SL isn't timed. USL is timed. SL games can end in 1 minute. Right?... Fool.

SL is timed 30 minute matches its just how you win within those 30 minutes or hold out until OT, for someone advocating for SL so much and was so in love with it you forgot that simple fact, get outtttta here.

It doesn't have to be double season.. And A LOT of matches will be over in less than 30 minutes. Top squads should be able to stomp bad ones in under 10 mins. Then there are other variables like sniping to get picks. Want to camp a set of trees or a building? Go for it while I capture every flag around you and you end up losing.

Sounds like alot of organization and effort just for Backs to lose two 3 minute games once a week.

SL was always the premiere SK league. I'd be in favor of it. Think that Eric hit nail on head though, we'd need more refs for it (at least 6 in total probably). Because the matches being Bo3 can vary in lengths ranging from probably 30 mins. to 1hr.40 mins. all said. I think that SL was always the more interesting league.

Trees/flags/3 death limit will drastically alter how some of the players here play and from a competition stand point it would probably make matches more interesting at the very least.

Extra note, also because SL matches were Bo3 its a good way to get more players actively playing in matches.
