I would like to propose a new award for this season. With Armor/Champ doing such a great job with the site, I think we will be getting an influx of players either returning or starting to play this game shortly. I'm going to highlight some possible players that could win this award this coming season.

Big Fat Noob- He is my squad mate so I may be biased, but this ctfer has shown a great deal of killing ability in the scrims I've played with him.

Grubby- I'm not sure if he is actually a new player or not, but he plays quite well for being new if that is the case. I'm not sure if he will have the advantage of being on a good enough squad, but I expect him to get some kills this season so show what he is made of.

Dinobot- He is much of the same position as BFN. I think he has played previous seasons, but hasn't seen much action. In the scrims I've played he has surprised and killed many players that may have under estimated him.

Feel free to add any players you think will be in the running.

Also, how about adding Support award for players who play majority of games LMG/Ripper/Nader, since we will see an influx of those classes on EC.

I think until we get the ratings sorted for the other classes its best to focus on Marine awards. Although I hope we get a medic rating this season! Have you played with Cage?

I still think we should get rid of "Deadliest Player" and divide it into: Most Kills, League MVP and a Support award.

Most Kills - Most kills in the season obviously

League MVP - Highest rating at the end of the season.

Support Award - Highest rating for someone playing STRICTLY support classes.

Cage is C4G3 from pub, and I love playing with him. I convinced him to play this season, and he seems energetic and excited.

I'm against rating determining awards, as quite a few factors come into play there. Just like in SL, staff should discuss award winners for things like MVP or individual class awards.

This is just purely biased since I plan to play medic this season. I always loved in SL when it had a rating reflective of the class itself.

I thought moving into recognitions was the best option, but as far as awards.

Hype is biased, shouldn't have an award.

pretty sure BFN has been playing for years way before SOE. Idk why you put Iceman hype award either, because i'm pretty sure he is better and has been playing long before you.

Nobody left in this game is considered a "rookie" as Infantry is not a noob friendly game. It takes a very long time to get good at the game and back in the day when we were all new, there were enough new players around that it all balanced out. Now if someone is brand new, they get fucking destroyed by people who have been playing this for years.

So lets say for example killer ends up with the highest rating at 96, but Tank does not even make playoffs. He is the League MVP, even though his team didn't succeed?

Sure why not? Awards have <i>always</i> been based on regular season stats.

If they didn't even make playoffs, thats based off of regular season. It just means his K/D was big, not that he was an MVP.

Awards in SL were based on rating to <i>qualify</i> - then a panel of voters including captains & staff voted on who they thought was the best to include situational issues. For example, I could see ER winning bonus points in the human vote because of the numbers he puts up without playing for a premier squad.

what armor said is right, how you could separate the overall ratings into classes and then the top 5 ppl (I believe) in each class would be nominated, then it went down to a staff/captain vote. not sure if the staff awards were the same, think it might've been just who did more work then anyone else with good quality and was always on time submitting scores

PS ur prob alrdy thinkin bout this type of award, and yes im biased cuz I loved doing it back in SL days with my crystal ballssss. I definitely like how the public can vote during the week on who they think will win whichever match happens, so whoever has the best prediction rating public wise gets crystal ball (like what they did for IGBL league) or will it be only for the analyst staff? ;O

Apollo I was speaking strictly about being new to the league. I've never seen bfn play in usl if he has so be it. All you do is go around and try to shit on any new idea or change anyone proposes. I understand your life sucks, but let the big sigh go and move on.

New Award: Friendship Flower. Awarded to the person who tries to be friends with everyone and promote positivity and growth to the league. No one wants the Toxic Turkey award.

Also how is naming an award after iceman a negative. He had a lot of hype last season I never said he was a bad player. I like ice and I had recruited him when I made glhf this off season.
