Ideally, we bring in a completely new map. It would be a breath of fresh air (if done right) and would probably spark interest in squads SBing during the week. We've all sb'd on ec/kr/apollos 100s of times now, so theres nothing really left to practice (from most squad's perspective). It's the same battles over and over again. I personally still love those maps and could probably play on them forever, but I think for the sake of the community we're definitely in need of something new. I know abbath and hellspawn are in the process of this, so shout outs to them.
Also, if this SL draft goes well. I would love for us to maybe switch on/off between USL and SL. I feel like we've gone over this before, but I feel like SL would also increase activity for a while, at least initially.

I would like to see new maps.. maybe leave one. A bit smaller in that its really difficult to camp for long periods of time. A map that promotes multiple areas to want to fight rather than south rocks all the time. Agreed abbath and HS are doing that. Thank you!! It may be my inexperience that pushes this opinion, but some or most have been playing them forever which makes things seem very rehearsed. I’d rather see maps wiped clean and everybody is learning again. This would promote new players, activity, and potentially more competition to the less stacked squads. If you know that a few squads are going to dominate every match simply bc of fighting the same known areas and stacked talent, whats the point.

I think ammo depots are a must at this point. Not saying the idc/Apoc match would have been played differently(from a strategy standpoint) but idc sat at their base for a very long time and even made subs because of ammo. Maybe ammo depots will encourage more fighting?? At least be able to get more AR ammo.

I can tell you a new map won't be made anytime soon. Perhaps you can edit existing maps like the caverns map, remove trees and put rocks/physics.

abbath is making one right now lol and just needs to fix physics atm and then have squads practice and give feedback. that's a pretty solid foundation for us just entering the off season

NML? Remove trees and bunkers. Add stuff. The bases both being centered North/south-wise will help the map be balanced

For apollo's idea about reducing camps. Allow teams to shoot inside opposing team rape lines, so if teams camp left of ec or apollo's map, they can actually punish it. Another thing to reduce camps by base could be increasing death timer so respawn cannot impact the battle. Maybe increase death timer to 15/20/25secs for the last 15/10/5mins of the game.
Edit:
For people who will try to abuse the rape lines cough y cough you cannot shoot inside the opposing team rape lines if an enemy is in the rape lines.

It makes more sense (imo) to create an incentive not to camp.
(Such as what flags do in SL. Sit in one spot and you'll likely be punished for it.)
I'm not saying flags, but flags --
or I don't know: ammo or laws that spawn in random spots across the map that promote not sitting in front of your base.
As Apollo previously said, there's no reason not to camp once you take a lead. Need a forced reason not to.

I don't mind doing this. Have one flag drop every 10mins or so on a neutral area. Have it announced 2mins so teams can prepare to capture the flag. If you capture the flag and hold the area for lets say 1min, you get 5kills. You can increase the kill count as the game progresses. You can RNG the areas that are consider neutral fighting spots depending on map like EC rocks/cock rock/etc.
Ammo depot as a reward doesn't do much honestly to break camps.

The only issue I continually see is how to minimize the passive/camping playstyle.
Add stimpacks but instead of health they provide a speed burst (~150% for 10sec). This could help setup some blindside flanks and faster pushes through chokes. I know this might also be used as a retreat mechanism but feel this would be a good addition to allow leaders to make some aggresive plays.

An ammo depot definitely helps camps. If one team is camping their base the other team has infinite trips to the ammo depot. I know every squad we've played there has been a big concern with ammo. In our playoff game it got to a point where people were SGing from a distance because we were on 0. Imagine if we just backed off, picked up full nades/laws/ammo, while they were stuck at 50 bullets, ish (If I did add an ammo depot I would remove medic marine ammo and lower marine spawn ammo)
