Is there any update on potentially doing something to negate or diminish camping or is the intention to go into the season with this as the go-to strategy again? Would rather see "there's no intention to do anything" as opposed to waiting three weeks before "it's too close to the season start date to make any changes".

1 flag w/ long timer in hard to hold position or give marines lower ammo, meds no ammo, and add an ammo dump so if you camp, you can't do it for very long w/ limited resources.

I actually want to do a demolition style gametype for public play like this. On Kaiser Pass. with the bomb site being on the bridge.

I personally like the idea of diminishing hp if you stay in an area too long, gotta see if devs can make that happen though

if a squad stands in a coord for too long their location is instantly revealed at the 2 minute mark and a player is specced for 10 minutes right away. no more pussyfooting around it and giving them any leniency just do it right away.

I don't think their coords revealed does anything really if a squad is camping their base.. they are holding their ground for a minute or 2.. and another squad comes around and engages.. stalemate, timer reset.

If they back off, in hopes to let the other squad camping their base to move, as soon as they engage again they can just fall back to their original spot. I think we need to create different incentives on the map that forces people to stop camping their base.

Current:

>5 = 2 minute camp timer
<5 = 1 min

Change it to

>5 = 1 min
<5 = 30 sec

Announce the start of camp timer using an arena message so no excuses can be made about not seeing it. Perhaps also consider using the %1 ping sound as well. Designating a sound specifically for camp timer announcements can help.

If after 30 seconds the timed squad doesnt move, spec a player. To make it more dire, spec one medic.

A while ago I mentioned hp drain on campers and if devs can figure out how to create hp draining tiles for camping violations that'd be awesome.

Incentive for the squad that doesnt camp:

If squad B has the camp timer called on them twice, squad A can unspec another squad member. The member will remain in the game until they are killed one time. The unspec'd player must be on the roster and can not be an NT.
