I don't have to make a new map, there are plenty of other maps that can be added in to switch up the scenery a bit. How many maps for SK have been made over the years? we really gonna stick too these same two pub maps for this long? switch it up. I mean just looking at the zone now there are a few areas that are never used... why is this? I know it takes work to switch it all around but if you want the league to continue you gotta do that shit. Public1 may seem like an underwhelming issue but it's not. having a population throughout the week is what starts squad battles and they are kind of important...

Well, usl public1 doesn't like to play on the main map, its too big for any map choice. Adding a single map, lets say the size of nml, takes about 1 day. We are fine with adding them, it takes a lot of our free time to do so, but nobody speaks up, and then people complain after the fact. Seriously it isn't copy and paste. But, again, mizz and I are fine with adding maps for public onto the usl maps. We would just like to know which ones so it isn't a waste of time.

I just REALLY don't want to see the last league in infantry die because of rushed decisions like CTFPL. and don't think this league is exempt from the same problems CTFPL had. Trying to change too much at once never works, for anything. I think shrinking teams is a good idea if its not drastic like a 5v5 game, 7v7 would be fine and I can't give my opinion on the flags as I don't have one because I've never played with them.

This league has players that JUST play because they are playing with eachother, if you cut teams in half you will lose them, that's the point I'm trying to get across here.

5v5 proposed 8 man rosters. Are you telling me there's clicks of 9+ people who won't play because they aren't together? I can understand clicks. Obviously I've had my fair share, especially in SB, but they're generally smaller. 3-4-5 guys.

The closest thing you have might be the worms guys, but I think all of the close dudes would still fit on the roster if they don't mind booting me (I suck anyway).

I don't hate GvY either Palm, just getting fed up with playing on it as it gets boring playing on it over and over again. It's a good map, but not for months at a time. Change it up whenever you guys change the main map, an edited Ruthia's map/ anything else really(Ill try to make one if you give me the info for map editor).

Also pub1 is on topic, It's part of the game and an essential part in getting people on for squad battles which is essential for keeping people interested.

5v5 would ensure this would be the last season of USL

just do 7v7, roster of 12 x 8 squads, that's 96 players. Theres easily that left in this game, and more would be active if they knew they'd play

I don't know Stales, I just think trying to change too much at once will end up biting us in the ass. I'm just super cautious with so many decisions to change things like this after the CTFPL fiasco.

I like the idea of two games a week though, could solve some of the issues with one side of the map being "stronger" than the other like on KR.

How's that any different than what we've been using Jordan? How do you proposing we eliminate camping? I saw your original post but I don't think that's drastic enough. Games aren't worth playing if 70% of them are fighting/standing around, another 20% is pretending to fight and 10% is actually fighting.

People get around the camp rule by just moving to a different coordinate and camping there. Move from spot to spot, hug your base. Yawn.

This isn't something that HAS to be implemented this season, if people want it sure that's fine. We are just getting public opinion/feedback/suggestions.

I'm not saying we need to implement everything that was posted. All of them were suggested for being discussed. I'm well aware too many changes at once is bad, but some changes required other changes (ie: smaller teams require smaller maps - that doesn't mean we need to use the dropships or ammo depots, etc.)

I think 5 v 5 is too small. I would say 6 or 7v7 with 11 or 12 man roster. I think 3 flags and the team that controls 2 of 3 gets a kill per 30 seconds or 45 seconds.

We can also do like first to 40 or 50 kills wins with no timer. This forces squads to fight eachother. Yes there could end up being long matches but if you had the 3 flags adding kills it would keep the pace of the game. Adding ammo depots in a few areas of them map would also keep games moving. I know with all the camping ammo is an issue. Just what i think

Start at 40 seconds for 1 flag then every flag after decreases timer by 5 seconds, own all 3 then a kill every 30 seconds, 2 flags then every 35 seconds. Nit a bad idea. I kind of like the max kill aspect, it would make teams engage more, and it would stop the farming of new squads. Definitely better than adding a mercy rule.

And tbh coming from a guy who is somewhat new to the league with little people knowing who I am, I'm down for smaller teams as it makes my chances of playing better and I'm sure many other people feel the same way who constantly ride the pine and can't shine. I just think with the cliques that run around in SK(another negative to being new to the league) having a 5v5 league would gut the player base. Just doesn't seem like it's worth gambling on.

Also regarding the camping issue, I really think camping has a lot to do with ammo. I've already said this, and I'm sure others have before me, it may just be a KR problem but the battles can last forever. Which leads to people being super timid because they are low on ammo and don't want to have an open fire fight running around like killer3333 spamming shotgun into the crowd.

flags are a bad idea

too be more drastic, reduce camp timer from 5 min to 3mins, then do what i said before take away kills for every 30 seconds that you're within 1 coord from the camp timer. then keep the other, in the last two minutes of a game within 3 kills you cant stay in one spot more than 1 minute or it's a forced OT.
