Did anyone have any thoughts on Metal's opinion toward the appeal rules?

And the allow enemy location in final 2 minutes of a match did not get the kind of majority (~66%) support I would want to see in order to implement it.

I have one other issue with the rules right now. The appeal rules.

I think the requirement of having the captain of the squad type their intent to appeal, and the reason in the match chat to be a terrible idea, and it puts too much pressure on the captain. Oftentimes, it's not clear exactly what happened until you have a chance to talk to your squadmates, review video footage, review chat logs, etc. to gather evidence that a mistake by the league was made. A captain may not have any idea whether or not they have a valid appeal right when the game ends - most squads are trying to focus on finishing the game out, not on diagnosing whatever shenanigans happened during the match.

I strongly recommend removing the requirement of stating your appeal in match chat right after game ends. There is a full week between matches, and the Captain's Forum is a much better platform for discourse. For timely evidence submission and decisions, just put a requirement that all appeals be filed by Monday at 11:59pm (over 24 hours from the original match).

Metals suggestion feels like common sense. Who ever put the rule up where if you don’t appeal right away you cannot appeal. Rule as is, is very dumb.

It was probably to mitigate a certain person's constant appeals. I agree its bad. It would suck if more details came out after the fact that were grounds for an appeal. Possibly from a video, for example.

"I have noticed in some of the few close matches over the last few seasons, the squad with the lead will try to run and hide. This was just a small suggestion to try to deter it. It would ideally guarantee the losing squad at least one more shot at a battle to see what they could do." - If this is the reason for the poll, I will gladly be the "jerk to break the tie".

I don't think it should be the ref's responsibility to monitor the match to help the losing team get an advantage at the last seconds. The camp timer is helpful since the squad is avoiding a fight, but if the squad is not violating the camp timer at that point, it's just a strategic play on their part and they should be able to use it.

If this was to be implanted Sov might not win the ring-pops for his boys and the coat-tail riders :)

Ref should just be there to apply rules, if it needs to be interpreted on the fly then it needs to be rewritten. Leaving it up to a ref as to when to give spec info depending on the score is just asking for drama.

Without being able to talk to whomever wrote that appeal rule, the only thing that comes to mind is keeping the season on track. Ideally if you're appealing that very night. You might be able to replay that match that night. Especially if the match is only being replayed from a specific point in the match.

But it's definitely a burdensome restriction. As stated, you might need some time to ascertain information and realize you want an appeal.

Well there wasn't going to be anything up for interpretation...

- 2:00 left in match
- Ref: Rape Lines are voided
- Match within 10 kills
- Trailing Squad Captain: enemy location?
- Ref: Stiletto Nails are at D3

No Ref interpretation required. Match is close. Rape lines are voided. Trailing squad wants enemy location. Ref provides enemy location.

Either way, community doesn't like the idea obviously. At least not a noticeable majority.

Sort of VC, he's often hurt and wanted to be traded. I don't agree with the balance of that trade. THJ is super good but makes too much money. If KP is ever healthy that's a scary team though.

Mavs are one of my favs team cuz the coach is from up around us VC

Captains: BB, Sov, Backs, & Riley - in particular

Please make sure to check the Captains Forum.

For any other possible future squads, please assume Noon EST on Sunday is the deadline for trying to register a squad. I will try to move forward with randomizing and implementing the schedule sometime in the afternoon or early evening.
