Huge deaths? Other than the Hound and Qyburn no other death made sense. Cersei got the Night King treatment. Rushed death just for a conclusion to the story they spent seasons building up.

Mad queen? Sorry, where did this come from? It was shoehorned. From completely normal to psycho in 1 episode. D&D have said in many interviews that Dany is nothing like her father and doesn't have that rage in her.

Apparently Arya is the main character of the show now. She killed literal death a couple episodes ago but walks into king's landing in plain sight and almost dies to falling rubble. She got way too much screen time for doing literally nothing.

After having 100% accuracy and damage before, the Golden Company and the Iron Fleet couldn't manage to fire off a single arrow at drogon and drogon was able to take out the entire fucking fleet and defenses of king's landing in one quick go. Apparently one dragon WAS enough to take the Seven Kingdoms despite everyone’s insistence that Dany needs to raise an army, haha! What an unfortunate train wreck.

Jaime was one of the best written characters in the show until this season where it was just a complete 180. Apparently now he didn't care about the common folk. Did season 3 just not happen then? They totally undid his development and tanked Brienne with it. Such a nuanced but believable character and played so well, totally squandered by writing trying to rush to a conclusion.

Judging by Rotton Tomatoes, Imdb, and twitter I would say it isn't only neckbeards that hate episodes 4 and 5.

This just sounds like a shit tier action movie, which is not what has been interesting about GoT. They threw all the storylines out the window in favor of this garbage. No one expected a happy ending, but we expected a logical one that revolved around the build-up of the actual storylines that were put in place over the course of 8 years or whatever it is. Just logic in general (see Chris' examples) is shitcanned in favor of fan service, but if that's what works for you, congrats.

I didn't hate it as much as you guys, I though seeing the innocents dying by the millions was nuts. And no she didn't just become the mad queen, they've built it for a while. Torching people who refused to bend the knee is pretty crazy a la Sam's family.

It's a real shame they had to fit all of this into one season. GRRM should have saved them.

Seems like they're just making stuff that looks good on TV rather than following their own rules and storylines they've created (well that GRRM created).

I enjoyed Episodes 1 & 2.
3 was a disappointment imo.
4 was horrendous.

They kind of hinted at Mad Queen. But it was too rushed. Too forced. This is where the truncated season really hurts. They needed a few more episodes to really go down that character development.

Mad Queen I think they did a decent job of with everyone turning on her. Only people she could trust were the Dothraki and Unsullied.
