I used to worry that GRRM was waiting to see how the show finished and would write something that would mirror that plot. I can pretty safely put that idea to bed now if he wants to keep being viewed as a good writer.

It's amazing just how off the rails this show has gone from the second they diverted from the books. This is becoming like Dexter level stupid for a final season.
