During the Gentlemen vs Monkey Business game, at 11:20 remaining on the clock, a ref accidentally keyed a macro and switched a med (bonds) from MB to Gentlemen during a battle on Gentlemen's side of the map. This disruption and ensuing chaos lasted for a full minute until bonds was stable on the correct team, but by then MB had to reset entirely as bonds was across the map and back at his own dropship.

After review from Fausto and myself (members of head staff not involved in the match), it was determined that this error and the confusion that ensued after had a significant impact on the game itself, so the appeal will be granted. The score was 30-15, which with that amount of time left, isn't an impossible task to come back from. We'll be reaching out to Captains of these two squads to schedule a rematch before Sunday any time that can be accommodated by league staff.

We apologize for the inconvenience. The ref team has been educated on having harder key macros to avoid future errors.

Lmaooooo. When I asked for an appeal in the past when my squad was down 2-3 kills and a ref error occurred that changed the game yall said “you guys ultimately lost by 40, it wouldn’t have mattered”

Clearly there is bias especially since Victim is involved.

Whether or not there was bias against us on CCP, they made the right call here by granting the appeal. Why would we not want that? Would it be better for staff to not grant appeals ever again because we felt we were wronged once? Same thing as when KK3 played and had 3 people in the game at one point, but when 5 of our guys on CCP crossed lines we all got specced. That was messed up and the rule wasn't enforced consistently in my opinion, but they did it the right way with KK3 and that's all I want to see. It can be frustrating, but it's important not to let perfect be the enemy of good and recognize progress when we see it.

So now you saying they just granting this appeal because it’s them right? And not backs? That’s progress? lol. That’s called scamming and being bias.

This administration has notoriously denied appeals in matches where the score was within 5 or even 1 kill where the match outcome would have 100% been different. Gentlemen were up by 22 kills with no danger of actually losing that battle even if they had all 8 players in. Need to have some consistency in the appeal decisions. Because all that does is set a precedent for the next appeal that comes in letting people know that even if the match wasn't close, it can still get granted.

Timestamped to exactly when bonds got moved to Gentlemen. Hence why there's no arena message yet saying he got specced for crossing base lines. But tell me again that you can say with 100% certainty this match would have had a different outcome versus the matches that were within a few kills that had their appeal denied lol. It's a pretty wild take to just guess a squad could go 22-0 to even up a match in the last 11 minutes. Especially with the pacing of that game. Why are we using "what ifs" to grant appeals in a match that was clearly one-sided?

Bowen clearly stating "Yeah they're up 22 kills now" while commentating, with the score clearly visible at 36-14. I'm not trying to be a dick here but you cannot even remember the score of the match before the incident and you want us to believe you actually reviewed the match before you made a decision on the appeal?

However there's been more information posted since then and now I am unsure. Might have to go back and watch this one, I usually skip out on gentlemen matches.

Fausto and Bowen made a ruling on this appeal with the assumption that the game was within 2 battles and that it "isn't an impossible task to come back from". Does being down 3 battles change their mind now? With that said, all we get is an edited post with the correct score and same reasoning. Clearly not an impossible task for a squad that only got 9 kills in the last 11 minutes of the game.

13.3 If 13.2 is determined to be true, the League Administration will designate staff member(s) who were not involved with the match to adjudicate the appeal.
13.3.1 Each involved staff member will cast a vote and articulate the reasoning for their vote.

So you both have the same reasoning with incorrect information (36-14 not 30-15) or you don't both have an articulated reasoning for your votes.
